please help tsunami victims

please do your bit as a part of this world, in whatever ways you can, to help the indian ocean tsunami victims...

for singaporeans, do think of donating part of the ERS monies you'll be getting from the govt. please refrain from donating food items, especially expired ones?!?! or even clothings etc ... because you will not know what are the things really needed by them, and money will do best...

all sucked dry

this after x'mas and before new year's week is soooo packed with work to do! i've to rush to complete the second batch of tee designs, for them to be actually out by feb next year, and also, i'm working on a new batch of forest creatures for pixelgirl's gallery show next year, which is very good news for forestprints! but not so good news for my poor eyes... computer, needle, computer, needle, computer, needle... brain bursting soon...

mewwy mewwy kwismas!

yesterday was fab! yeah i know i know... all very badly taken goofy photos, the best we could do in very dim lighting at night, with a camera phone ya, but great memories still!! *grinz* we had a smashing time having a wild x'mas eve at the night safari hee... it was b's first trip there, and my first time having x'mas eve there, so it was a whole lot of fun! the tram ride was fantastic, with the cool night breeze and clear full-moon sky.. i can't imagine it any better, i mean, we could be riding it in a warm humid night, and that would have sucked alot. and i guess because it was a full moon night, that the animals were actually not sleeping or hiding, which was so great! the were up and howling and roaring away, chittering about, eating their yummy termites, being silly and playful ooohhh you've gotta see them for yourself, it's so impossible to describe the cute, gross, oh my goodness sights!! not forgetting the cheesy goofy funny zoo people haha... thus the very goofy "ugly" photos we've taken =p

this one was taken when we were halfway on the rickety suspended bridge in total freaking darkness! and we were being goofy again, and trying to look like we're scared out of our wits... didn't really come out that fantastic huh.. hahaha!

this was part of the journey when we were having the walk that was very worthwhile i must say, seeing the cute silly-looking bears scouring the ant hill for food, the cat-walking show-off leopard that was just an inch away from our faces, separated from us by a glass window of course, and the cuuuttteeee furry flying fox squirrel that just sprang from behind us out of nowhere sudddenly and perched onto a branch just one freaking feet away from us! ok.. i can just go on and on... i mean, i think it's great that we didn't just spend another x'mas eve dancing away drunk in zouk or some other clubs. which i've got a feeling our new year's eve will be like.. haha! this is the x'mas eve i'll remember :)

and now we've to go pack pack pack for our second and last for now, clarke quay sunday market, tomorrow, and try to put some stuff in the car first, before we're skeepy and late again tomorrow morning, like the sunday before hee.. a great great weekend with new and fun experiences! woo!

lucky stars

i love my lucky stars! and so i thought it would be so cool to make them as gifts for x'mas for everyone i know, to spread my luck, happiness, joy an peace:) no matter how sick i am, i've been sewing hard and fast, making these small little things can be abit tricky when your eyes are blurry and bones aching from fever... i've given about 7 away so far, and the response has been so so... i'm a slight bit disappointed with myself.. hmmm.. not everyone likes cute crafty things i guess... or maybe my lucky stars aren't as cute as i think they are...

all set up and ready to go, on an early early sunday morning 9am! it was a day very well spent :-) much better than we had initially expected. the crowd was great, sales was wonderful, weather was oh so good, all tired out but very very happy and satisfied. and not forgetting to mention, i've never seen b smile so much to strangers before... haha yeah!

pixelgirl presents ROCKS!

so, a desktop design i had submitted to pixelgirl has won the "Sexy Featured Desktop" award! and i've even been given a badge so that i can put on my site to brag about this achievement.. haha! it's third time lucky, since this is actually the third time my design has been accepted. and they rock not just because they've given me this award ok... they've been rocking for quite some time already and have been categorised under my ie favorites for the past year :)

pixelgirl is a god-send portal not only for free kick ass desktop and icon designs, but is also for designers to submit their work to the site for approval and display and maybe gather some exposure and comments. they also have their own pixelgirl products by cafepress, and a fabulous gallery show section that features work of cool young designers and artists! and there's so much more, you'll just have to go explore their site yourself !! =p

and now, i think they rock even more because shanalyn, da pixelgirl, has made an order for some of my forestprints stuff hee... so i'm happy that someone out there actually likes my forest kitty enough to buy it! so i guess if pixelgirl rocks, shanalyn rocks too! 0( ^ . ^ )0

happy weird family

so i've added my new family of forest creatures :) the very lovable and crappy forest freaks. and some people out there actually likes them so the first batch have all been sold at at inQbox! things are crazy crazy crazy. i've to rush out the second batch of freaks for sale at inQbox, and then i've to prepare for my clarke quay sunday market fun, and then i fall sick! all at the freaking same time. right now i'm sniffing away at my powerbook, trying very hard to regain at least SOME energy to pack the sunday market items... sigh. a personal live talking moving assistant cum secretary will definitely help *wishful thinking* i've been having high fever for the past 2 days... still having it now.. and it doesn't help that i'm alone at home with all these tons of work to get done. i just hope i don't infect my freaks while coughing and sewing them, and then spread my powerful flu virus to people who buy them. get better right now! uurrgghh

sunday mornings

yes.. sunday mornings are definitely different for me now... have to be up and ready with inventory lists, new stock, and what-nots to bring to inQbox. abit of a drag unless i go there and find out that i've made some sales, which i had! hee... and fortunately i always have my b to help me. well... sometimes he can be much more of a hindrance... but at least he tries to help, so i shan't make any complaints :p seems like my brooches are crowd favourites. i just hope i can be completely done with my first lot of tee designs sooner so i may embark upon the second batch, whose designs i have just recently completed. i'm really excited about it, but there's really nothing i can do right now since i have to generate the capital from the first batch to start work on the second. so people.. please be patient here okay, it has just been 5 weeks since my launch!!?!

so i went to ballot for a space at the clarke quay sunday market.. and i got it! my friend and i tried to cheat a little, since only 1 same group of persons are allowed to ballot for only 1 space, and we didn't want to not get it since balloting is only on alternate mondays and the next ballot would be for the dreadful month of january. so both of us filled up the forms anyways, and we were so lucky that both our names got picked! so his name was called up first and 2 numbers later, mine was too! and i had to pretend that i wasn't me while my name was repeatedly called more than 3 times.. haha. so i'll be there on the 19th and 26th of dec, with my wares and barang barang..
